After not the best nights sleep, thank you crazy hallucinogenic malaria tablets, we got up and showered. The shower really is awesome here. Then yummy breakfast – eggs and Jamie’s standard Guludo Sunrise. And coffee! We were just wondering about what to do with the day when we saw the weather coming. It rolled in from the sea, great black clouds. The rain started very heavily. We stayed in the restaurant to watch as it continued. Interesting!
As the storm cleared, we walked back along the beach to our banda. There were lots of fishermen in the sea – we wondered how they enjoyed the storm. Apparently, it brings the fish to the surface so they can catch more. We stood on the beach for a while watching the world go by, until the weather broke again. We decided to use the time well by packing our bags and making sure we were ready for the very early departure tomorrow. Eventually, the weather cleared up as abruptly as it had begun and we wandered onto the beach to check on the tide. Lunch first, then final swim was the decision. It seemed weird that we would be travelling home tomorrow, especially since we wouldn’t arrive until the following day, but we were both looking forward to being home. This place is incredible and unique, worlds away from home.
